Dr.sujata Goda, is the director of Power Management Consultancy and Sri Patanjali Yoga Vidya Kendram. She is working on a post doctrol thesis on 'Interpretation of Yogic treatment in the light of Modern Biomedical Analysis' is the first person holding a Doctorate in Yoga in India, which she obtained from the Madras University, for study on 'Comprehensive Analysis of Yoga in Telugu literature', a scientific study of Yogasanas and Pranayama.

In retrospect, going back in time, a glance of her acadaemic background would make one believe a definiteness of purpose and direction in the path chosen by her. In 1984 she graduated from Andhra University, with a degree in Sanskrit, which would later help her study of yoga, as many original documents are in that language. Simultaneously she obtained 'Proficiency in Oriental Languages', through a diploma from the same University. In 1986 she has completed MA(Telugu), again from Andhra University. No doubt this was of immense help for the topic of the thesis for her Ph.D., focusing as it did on Yoga in Telugu literature. The truth is that she did not actually plan to develop into yoga. A slipped disc, which doctors claimed required an operation, which she ultimately avoided, through chance encounter with yoga, changed the entire course of her life. If you believe in the existence of Karma, or pre ordained path, it would perhaps explain why she went through the courses, which eventually would help her. In 1987 she completed a diploma course in Natural Therapeutics, from Indian Institute of Naturopathy, kolkata.

She has to her credit over 6 papers presented to august audiences at University of Madras, during national seminars and at technology centers. Anjali a Telugu weekly and Maruthuvar Tamil magazine have published her articles, The Hindu has featured her as expert on yoga.

Among the portfolios managed by her are: GSS Memorial Yoga Charitable Trust (Managing Trustee) and Pathanjali Yoga Vidya Kendram(Directress). She is an executive committee member of Marina beach walkers Association and member, Tamil Nadu Pranic Healing Society. Several of her talks in English Telugu and Tamil have been broadcast by All India Radio, for both adult and children.

As a stress management consultant, concentrating on health topics she is much sought after by coporate houses like Indian Oil Corporation, Madras Refineries Ltd., (MRL is now known as CPCL), Larsen & Toubro, the Murugappa Group, Rane Group, to name a few. She maintains her links with Institute of Port Management, Staff Training Colleges of Reserve Bank and Indian Bank, Sathyabama Engineering College (MBA Programme), National Institute of Port Management and Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. The national Council for Industrial Harmony, Madras Productivity Council, National Acadamy for Central Excise, Customs & Narcotics also avail her help, besides Bank of India, Metropolitan Transport Corporation, TWAD Board.

Among the educational institutions, she is either a permanent faculty or guest lecturer in: Sathyabama Engineering college, University of Madras, Rosary Matriculation and St.Bedes Sports Foundation.

Now comes the interesting part. Her hobbies include: tarrot reading, palmistry, numerology, vaasthu shastra, arts and crafts, doll making, fabric painting, flower making, handicrafts and embroidery.

The profile is never quite complete, because she is in a learning graph, adding new skills and knowledge. Effectively combining her knowledge of Yoga and Pranic healing could produce some miraculous results, especially if she is drawing resources from her hobbies too.
